Golden Winter

Golden Winter: Stars

We're having a very warm winter this year. We've had a bit of snow, but it's all gone now and the sun's back out. There are still plenty of dry leaves and seeds on the trees. They turn golden in the warm winter sunlight. These are the seeds of the common spindle (Euonymus europaeus). They look like little golden stars.

Golden Winter: A Leaf in the Sunlight

We're having a very warm winter this year. We've had a bit of snow, but it's all gone now and the sun's back out. There are still plenty of dry leaves and seeds on the trees. They turn golden in the warm winter sunlight. This is a beech leaf. It looks like little golden boat.
