Yummy Giants!

Nature always provides little treats. You just have to know where to look :-) I found these three gigantic blackberries on one of my hikes in the woods. I placed them on a plate next to a ruler so that you can see their size (the ruler shows centimetres). This prize came at a cost though: I got a royal bite on my arm by some mysterious animal, which was very painful. It took a few days of ointment and ice for the sewlling to gradually disappear and for the pain to stop. However, it was all worth it - these three blackberries were absolutely delicious! :-)

Highland Cattle in Slovenia!

I took this one on one of my trekking expeditions. These are Highland Cattle - a Scottish breed of cattle. These excellent specimens are the red Highland. The breed is called Bò Ghàidhealach in Scottish Gaelic and kyloe in Scots. I've seen a lot of different types of cattle, but I've never seen these in Slovenia! What a pleasant surprise!
