Waking up...

I just got a new lens today: Canon EFS 24mm f/2.8 STM, also known as the Canon "Pancake" lens. Since it's a wide-angle lens, it's great for landscape photography, but there is another hidden feature of this lens: the macro function. You can shoot from a distance of 16 cm with it! It's absolutely fabulous!

Since the weather was quite bad today with rain and lots of clouds, the light wasn't exactly good for taking photos. However, I had to test the lens, so I decided to take some macro shots in our garden. So, here's a first taste of the "Pancake" ;-)
