Calligraphy / Kalligraphie / Kaligrafi

Calligraphy

I've always been very enthusiastic about all kinds of beautiful things and that includes beautiful handwriting or calligraphy. I've always wanted to learn this special way of handwriting, but the proper equipment for calligraphy is very expensive, so I never bought it. However, my mum surprised me this morning with an early Christmas present: a calligraphy set. I was absolutely over the moon about it!! It contains a bottle of ink, three bottles of special golden, white and black watercolour paint, four different types of pens, a pencil and a brush. It also contains two books with all the necessary instructions to learn calligraphy properly. I can't wait to get started!! Thank you so much, Mum!!! :-))

A rainy day that turned out great

Today, I went out for coffee (well, hot chocolate, actually) with an old friend whom I haven't seen for quite a long time now. She lives in Belgium, so there aren't too many opportunities for morning coffees. Anyway, it was great! We spent about two hours in my favourite little cafe in Ljubljana, Le Petit Cafe, just drinking hot chocolate and chatting about the old days and other things. It was lovely and I can't wait to do it again soon! :-)

And here's a shot for the day: a game of shadows this time :-)

Baklava (iyi Bayramlar!)

Yesterday, I discovered a nice little pastry shop not very far away from where I live. Actually, I've been driving past it for a while now, but I've never stopped there before. Well, yesterday I had some time and finally went there. I discovered this delicious Turkish treat: baklava! Yum yum, or, in Turkish, lezzetli!! :-)) I'm definitely getting some more next time!!
