The past few days
About two weeks have passed since my last post, and it's been an interesting time. I spent my time studying and taking photos mostly, but two other things happened: I got a brand new phone and I broke my record on Flickr! :-)
First the phone. It's an LG Cookie and it comes with all the gadgets you can imagine (from a camera to an mp3 player). It even has a drawing pad (it's a phone with a touch-screen, so it works with a special pen)!! What more could a person possibly want from a gadget?
And now the record on Flickr. I broke my old record of daily views (which was 736 views in a day) and made the new one of 1143 views in one day!! I'm extremely proud of this achievement :-)
Here's a photo for the day: a goldfinch having lunch on my windowsill :-)

Glowing shadow
Another photo for the day :-)
I've become very interested in the light-and-shadow game lately, using various objects (particularly glass) and natural sunlight. I simply attempt to make the best shot possible and do not edit my photos in any program afterwards :-) How am I doing so far?

Золотое / Χρυσό / Altın / Gold / Zlato
I uploaded my 1000th photo on my Flickr site today :-)) I wanted to make it special, so I decided to make it the real McCoy, so to speak, and post an analog photo. It was taken about 7 years ago, when photography became a bit more accessible due to the lower prices of the films and a bit more affordable developing in the studios. I was able to start making "artistic shots" (= other than shots of birthdays, New Year celebrations and summer vacations). I was absolutely thrilled about my (otherwise always favourite) new hobby and made great efforts in finding beautiful motives or interesting subjects to take photos of. This photo was made as a part of my "Autumn Walks" series in September 2002 and it seemed just perfect to post for the occasion :-)
